Nepal Bon Religion Association (NBRA) is one of the registered associations according to the rule and regulation of the country. This association has been working since January 2000. In Nepal few people are adapting BON tradition and its religious culture. Nowadays
Nepal Bon Religious Association (NBRA) is trying to deliver spiritual education to the people of the country, which help to keep peace and taking them to build a road of peace. Some intelligent people have a discussion with some Tibetian origin LAMAS about BON RELIGION and its culture. According to them BON RELIGION, here in Nepal is followed by TAMANG, a cast who are quite oppressed Jana-Jati in the country. It has been believes that people’s original religion was BON religion. The background of Buddha’s all traditions are also comes from BON religion.
Origin of Bon Religion
The word Bon comes itself from Nature. So Bon is the natural word and it comes from nature all of people of that times they repect Nature is the everything then they follow it as a bon religion. People who follow bon religion are called bonpo. Before thirty thousand years it was originated from sangsung states of chang area.in that time there were some people adapted bon religion as only in Trantrism.  After that they follow this religion as a bon religion. In such a way bon religion is gradually spreading in all over the Tibet. It is leading by Tonpa shenrab as their own religon.In the contest of Nepal. This. This bon religion origin’s credit goes to Mr.T.B. Tamang.There fore after the long research and discussion of Mr. T B.Tamang he reached to decision to establish of this bon religion with the help of united persons. Before establish of this religion he met with different Rinpoche’s they also give him good suggestion about establish of bon religion.
After the establish of this Nepal Bon Religion Association, Mr. T. B. Tamang visited Dharmashala in India, he met with Dalai Lama then he provided some information about establishing of BON Religion in Nepal and he gave good response to establish bon religion in Nepal. He also congratulates to chairman and give big contribution to establish BON religion in Nepal.
BNRA doing measurable progress in a short interval of time. It has been felt that association is success to spread BON Religion most of the districts in Nepal.
To obtained the above mentioned main objectives following work will be perform by the Association:
- To establish a Nepal Bon Community School under the Bon Religion Association
- To construct a Bon school building and hostel building for these students who are from very remote areas of our country which help to give all of education to their children from Nursary to class ten. We give them not only modern education but also we will give them Bonpo education.
- To established social and religious linkage to the rural community and other similar organization
- To provide/deliver the concept of Nepal Bon Religious Association for the betterment of human kind in the world.
- Deliver the need of religion and importance of spiritual awareness to improve peace in the world.
- Collect and developed fund for the betterment of poor people of our country Nepal .
- To share information and experience among various Bonpos regarded person exchange different ideas to associate this bon religion as tamangs old religion
To construct the bon monastery which help to all Bonpos to do all of bon activities is also our main priority is to construct bon monastery. Which Helps to spreading bon religion and to preserve Tamangs original tradition and conduct different kinds of program for the spreading of Bon religions all over the nation and international.
