NBCS's way to work
Particular focus is placed on the very remote areas regions of Shindupalchowk, Ramechhap, Dolakha Mustang, Manang, Ilam, Taplejung, Dolpo, Mustang and Solukhumbu. Due to the remoteness of these areas, basic education is essentially unavailable.

Our school is non-profit and provides a social service. Here we keep 60 helpless, semi orphans, orphans to give them schooling education into our Bon hostel. We always try to give them same education as private school education. These children come from very remote area and their parents are suffering from poverty. Most of them are orphans. The Bon Association and Bon Community School continue to flourish. We presently have 60 boarders and 155 dayscholars, in total 215 students studying in our Bon School, boys and girls. All the boarders are accommodated in the Bon School's hostel, which was established in May 2004. It transformed the living standards for the children.

We keep three kinds of priority to select children in our school:

• First priority is given to the children whose parents are expired in very poor conditions.
• Second priority is given to the children whose father is dead or mother expired and whose guardian can not send his child to study due to his poverty. We ourselves go to villages to collect these types of children.
• Third priority is given to the children whose parents are suffering from poverty and very low economic status they do not have enough land to do farming and can not sent their children to study in the school.

Academic Sessions
Our Bon School's running smoothly from class NURSERY to class SIX. (Total Nine class) every year we will upgrade class seven, eight up to twelve. All of the students are good in every subject. Right now we have 13 teachers including one Tibetan teacher especially to boarders every mornings for two ours. And we have 5 non-teaching staff. We, all teachers and managing committee, closely monitor the progress of every child and Mr Tek Bahadur Tamang and his wife Mrs. Sita lama keep a careful eye on the children who find difficulties to keep up. We provide quality education for getting good results. Most seem to relish to the chance to learn and most of our Bon children excel in their studies.

There are four exams in a year and each child's sponsor receives a full report on their child's progress at the end of final term. When the child got the sponsors then the sponsors will get from their postal address by post from here ,each three times their sponsored child’s personal letter ,drawing and arts whatever the child likes to do .And also the latest information and school activities will informed by email.

Health Check -Up
In an effort to improve the overall quality of the Bon Associations programs and the welfare of the children, we were able to enlist the services of a Nepalese Doctor who practices at the only standard medical clinic, Medicare hospital, Chabahil Katmandu. When children become sick, we are taking them into that hospital for treatment. Fortunately, there are only few minor stomach upsets and colds.

However that hospital did recommend that all the children are treated for the more common diseases that are prevalent in this part of the world. The cost of this program was kindly sponsored by Our NBCEBS l for medicines and other things but doctors charge is per child Rs.150 for our Bon children. Here in our school, one dispensary for boarders and day scholars is needed for assure a first aid service to the students. This is becoming more and more necessary because we got more children in our hostel.

Long-term projects
We start nursery to class VI increasing students year by year on the ratio of 10 students (in hostel). We have also planned to establish nursery to class XII in the coming future.

The main aim of NBCEBS is to provide the children with a secure and homelike environment give them the opportunity of a decent education and, in the long term, enable them to become independent and self-supporting. NBCS believes that many individuals and groups, who know and love Nepal, are looking for ways to help the country to develop and it is clear that a good education for children is a major factor in achieving the long term sustainable development of the country.

Future Plan
Here we have been planning in the future when children finished the class twelve they would be send at the university for study as well as they will be provide the part time job in different works of the school like teaching, administration from which they would get pocket money. Even they can go to monastery for getting degree of Bon philosophy because here we are planning to construct curriculum of bon religion and its culture then they would have two options to choice their profession to make their future bright, whether they can be Monk or other.
